Call for papers

The programme of AIRMON 2011 will comprise three and a half days of invited plenary presentations from leading authorities in the field, free oral presentations, contributed poster presentations, and discussions. At the end of each oral presentation 5 -10 minutes will be reserved for discussions. Poster presentations will be given equal prominence and ample time will be allowed for discussion.

The Organising Committee welcomes cutting-edge presentations focusing on: 

Exposure assessment - Sampling and air monitoring strategies
Peak exposures
Air exposure estimation and modeling in REACH
Nano-aerosol sampling and measurements
Pumped and diffusive sampling of organic and inorganic gases
Sampling and measurement of inorganic, organic and biological aerosols Sampling and measurements of mixed phases
Chemical speciation of exposure
Uncertainties - Quality of measurements
Biological monitoring - Biomarkers of exposure

Participants are cordially invited to submit contributions dealing with the conference topics. An one-page abstract must reach the conference secretariat by 2 May 2011. When you submit your abstract(s), please state your preferred form of presentation (oral or poster). Notice of acceptance will be mailed by 15 May 2011.

All contributions as previously (Analyst, 1994, 119, 1-107, Analyst 1996, 121, 9 1155-1305, and Journal of Environmental Monitoring, 1999, 1, 273-394; 2002, 2, 5- and 2006, 8, 24-, 2008, 10, 1415-) will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Royal Society of Chemistry Journal of Environmental Monitoring after the conference, subject to the normal review procedures of the journal. Authors are encouraged to hand in their manuscripts at the Symposium if possible. The final deadline will be six weeks later.
